An update

Holy crap Batman, it's been donkeys years, well OK a couple of months, since any scribbling has been scribbled on ye olde Blogge. A lot of doings have been going on since the last posting, in no particular order: -The better halves old chap left us due to Mr. C which is never pleasant. -Got Vickies tank plus a spare for Amelia soda blasted down to bare metal for a repaint.
-A trip back home due to the Bodgers Old Girl leaving this mortal coil -A trip to the birthplace of Vicky and Amelia
Now for those of you NOT keeping up with current events, the first picture above, the premises were tore down in the 1970s AFTER BSA were defunct and no more even. -There was also another trip to the NMM in the Brum area that coincided with thee trip to Armoury Road. Well, that's it for the update, vittles is being prepared and about to be scoffed. So until the next time..........

  1. Hey Bodger you're back! Beginning to think all the bloggers were camped out at FB for good. See you are back from England. Someday I want to visit the NMM...maybe in a couple of years. There's that BSA in a Norton frame that was being discussed at the BSA page at FB. The tanks look good. Are you going to polish out the Victor tank? Looks to be in petty good shape. Well, get into the shed and start having some fun!

  2. The NMM is well worth the visit Larry...first time I went was with Kawa, spent a couple of hours there, great place.

Plus it's about 8-10 mikes from Armoury Road, so I made the side trip out to there.

There's several prototypes there that were never built. Pity as even though they were hybrids so to speak, the looked good and I think they could've sold well such as the BSA Gold Star 3, Rocket 3 bored out to 850 or 900 I think and set up looking like a Gold Star.

    Also a Norton 900 triple.

I'll post some pics of those later.

The tanks were blasted down to bare metal and will get the metal etching primer, base primer and then top coats of paint treatment done to them.

Doing a move here shortly so any work will have to be put off until after that is done with.
