No, it's nothing to do with playing the organ like you might think, but rather the organizing of the shed, a little bit.
Yesterday SWMBO had her son and grand-daughter over, which gave me the perfect excuse to go to the shed, so I did.
I decided that in order to do the rebuild of Vicky it might be a good idea to do like Kawa mentioned by putting parts into containers and labelling them. So that's what I did more or less.
So I put the forks into one storage container along with a few other bits, most of the motor parts into another container and frame/chassis parts into yet a third container.
This makes it a little easier to move them around if need arises as well as keeping all the parts together without losing what I've obtained so far as well as the knackered old bits that came off Vicky when I began this process.
As well as some organization, it also cleared up some room on the work benches plus some needed room to swing a cat if I should ever want to do that.
But I'll still need a few more storage containers for the parts still needed for the rebuild. But then again it may be easier and cheaper to just look for another COMPLETE Victor Special and ride that. But where's the fun in that????
There isn't any 'cause it's more funner to rebuild and restore a motorcycle yerself which is the whole idea of this bloggy thing right!!!!!
Speaking of which, I've been trawling eBay for parts. It's a neverending job, but it's worth it.
Stay tuned.

I'm trying to get organised too. I've made lots of trips to the tip recently - as a result, I now have several empty storage containers to fill!! That shouldn't take long.....
ReplyDeleteIt's all Good Fun!
Hiya StarryFireBird, long time no see.
ReplyDeleteThat's a problem of clearing things out, there's space that can be filled back up LOL.
Still a bit more that can be chucked, cleared out or burned (:O). But it's getting there.
Tell Gus I said Wothca.
Gus says Hello. He waved at you too!
ReplyDeleteGetting back to the idea of doing a Cafe version of a Victor. I have a tank off of a Honda CB-500 twin. (Basically a bored-out 450.) I'm going to see how that looks on a Victor. It has the knee-notch look, and might be persuaded to work on a BSA. And I know 70's Honda Disc brake front ends are pretty easily grafted onto British bikes.(UHHHHH sacrilege...) Hairy Larry
ReplyDelete...and the pictures of this newly organised and tidied shed are....where...??? Come on Bodge, get the camera out, we need proof!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Bodger!!
ReplyDeleteSounds interesting there Larry, as GBC says, pics are in order when you get some.
ReplyDeleteGBC pics will be forthcoming...er.. there were technical difficulties...yeah that's it.. the last two days. Now where's that camera????
Cheers SFB, I tried to avoid it, but it showed up anyway, can't avoid it, getting old at 21:P
Well Happy B-day Bodger. Kawas put some of my cel-phone pics on his site. Nothing I'm working on, just stuff I've run into. Been thinking about starting up a blog. Of course that means getting a computer and getting connected up. I don't think I want to try it with borrowed computers and my antiquated "not-so-smart" phone...Ha Ha...Hairy Larry
ReplyDeleteBelated Happy Birthday, thought I'd give you a day to recover, lol
ReplyDeleteCome on get the pics posted!!
