A rough fortnight

It's been a rough couple of weeks in Bodger Land.

Due to insomnia for the past year or so, the Docs prescribed sleeping pills which seem to work for the most part.

But when stress is about, then the liitle pills don't seem to work at all. So the Docs prescribed taking another aid, Prozac to help with the stress and "anxiety".

Once that got into the system and was building up, all bets were off.

Two weeks ago I walked into the office and things were in right state. That for some reason got Bodger into a real mood which lasted for a few days until it died down.

Then last Monday the same thing happened due to another station closing down and all the people in there moving in with us like one big happy family. Even the Big Cheeses made it sound like it was a great idea.

All that happened was that it got me into a right state and a rage that lasted the whole day. The next day wasn't much better  Bodger getting into a loud argument with the Gaffer over something minor.

Seems that this Prozac can do different things to different people. In Bodgers case, mood swings and increases in irritatiblity and anger come about in a dramatic way.
The next day, at a routine physical, the usual procedures were done such as taking of pulse, weight, and blood pressure.
Talked with the Doc about some concerns and things were fine........except for.......the blood pressure reading were high. And it was taken three times just to make sure.

So now Bodger has to go on three consecutive days to have his BP taken in order to see if everything in OK.

Don't know if the Prozac had anything to do with it, but Prozac has been discontinued as no telling what it will do if I kept taking it and the high BP is a little worrying.

Hopefully things will be back to normal for Bodger.

BTW, a few of my mates at work were a little concerned about the episode with the Gaffer. I talked to him before seeing the Doc for the physical and apologized for what had happened. He was good about it and knew that wasn't how I normally am.

Also told three of the women, good friends, that if something was to ever happen, they had nothing to worry about at all.

Hopefully things will get back to normal for Bodger....and no more pysco pills for me, no matter how bad the stress is. Chocolate can and will and and all of lifes ills.

Oh, before I forget, Bodger now has a dongle for his laptop so can now be mobile and file reports from the filed such as the upcoming New Ulm Rally next month.

  1. Bodger, I hope everything sorts itself out for you and the high BP was just due to the prozac.

  2. Cheers Kawa......hopefully the BP was just a side effect of the Prozac and will drop back down to normal.

That was a fortnight I don't ever want to do again. I'll deal with any issues without that nonsense making me doollally!

  3. Seems so many medications have too many side effects to worry about, get that BP down, and take it easy. Hairy Larry

  4. Cheers Larry...was kinda scary the way that stuff can mess you up.

Found out it doesn't affect the BP supposedly so I'm guessing it's just stress doing it. Just need to deal with that and carry on carrying on :P

Did get a muffler heat shield for the B44 so that's a start. :)

  6. Thanks GBC...tweren't at all fun dealing with it. Crabbit doesn't even cover it.

Do need to work on the BP thing so I don't have to get any more meds. Next month on hols for a couple of weeks so that's a good thing for the BP levels.

OMG!!!!! Miley Cyrus and Joan Jett are performing together on the Ophra Show "singing" rock songs. That's enough to get anyone's BP skyrocketing.

    The horror...the horror :0
